Probably Beauvais, circa 1720-1730
Each worked in silk and wool with poppies in an oval ivory cartouche above birds,crossed quivers, and a pair of dressed and dancing monkeys, set on a yellow ground. The design of the panels might be compared to the Gobelins 'Portières des Dieux', and also to the Beauvais 'Berain Grotesques', and with the various works of the respective designers of these sets, Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer, and Claude Audran III.
